OUR STORY

History Of Oshwal Academy Nairobi Primary

The primary campus was established in the early 1960s as an education centre for the children of the Oshwal community families living in the parklands area and its environs. The Oshwal community families are believed to have settled in Kenya as early as 1900. They have over the years been engaged in community development activities all over the country in sectors of education, health, feeding programmes, employment and empowerment just to name a few. The primary campus had always celebrated 9th May of every year as the foundation day which reminded them of the year 1978 when the school became a fully fledged institution for learning offering the British National Curriculum.

The year 2006 saw the merger of all the schools that were under the establishment of Oshwal Community form Oshwal Academy Nairobi and Oshwal Academy Mombasa respectively, under the banner of Oshwal Education and Relief Board (OERB). Since then, the OAN Primary campus has continued to grow in leaps and bounds both in academics and co – curricular activities.

The current Cambridge International Examination Curriculum is positively contributing towards the achievement and fulfilment of the vision, mission statement and core values of the school.

We are proud of being an international school that not only takes every child to be unique but also respects the diverse cultures and traditions, beliefs and practices of the students from all over the globe.

We value a tripartite relationship in the learner’s quest for knowledge and overall outcome. We are confident you will find Oshwal to be the most ideal learning institution for your child, and you will be assured of a warm welcome when you come to visit.
